Hi Everyone! My name is McGee. But my foster family has been
referring to me as “McGee the McGoof.” I don’t know exactly how old I am, but I
think 6 months old or so would be a good guess. I am still a puppy but I mind my
foster family very well. I do the typical puppy things that make people laugh
and want to play with me even more! I haven’t had any accidents in the house at
all and I play with the children and their “forever” dog very nicely. They have
me sleep in a crate at night, but I don’t mind. I don’t bark or whine when they
close the door and turn off the light. I know it’s to keep me out of the kinds
of trouble puppies seem to find naturally. This is the kind of life I have
always dreamed of….but never had the chance to live. But this is my chance and I
will try to be the best dog anyone has ever had!
This is how I got to BWBR. I was a stray pup roaming on an
Indian Reservation in South Dakota. It’s no kind of a life for a guy like me….or
for any of the other stray animals for that matter. Living as a stray, we get
covered in wood ticks and fleas that can make us real sick. It’s awful. We
survive on scraps of food people will throw to us from time to time. But many
days I was so hungry I had to search for anything to eat that would make my
tummy stop rumbling.
There are mean people there too. Some people hate the strays
so much that they try to round us up and shoot us! It’s scary and deadly stuff.
I was caught along with another dog and we were put into crates to wait for an
untimely end to our young lives when this nice lady got BWBR and other rescues
involved to get us to safety. Twenty-four stray critters now have a second
chance at life thanks to her. She’s our guardian angel! Thank you Kitra!
That was my past, now onto the good stuff! I have two boys
ages 5 and 9 and a 10 year old Pit Bull brother in my foster home and I am
fitting in great, if I do say so myself. I don’t fight over toys or foods, I
potty were I should and I don’t jump on the boys or play too rough with them. My
foster mom says she should call me “McBreeze” because I have been one!
Please consider me for your family soon. You don’t want to
miss the end of my “puppy cuteness”. I want to settle in and be the missing
piece in your families puzzle. I really will compliment your family and make
your life complete. I have my Frontline and shots. I have been heartworm tested,
dewormed and I have also been neutered. I’m ready to go! Did I mention that I
LOVE car rides!!!
Please help me find my forever family!
